After Receiving Your COVID-19 Test Result
If you have received a negative test result, quarantining yourself for 7 days is still recommended if you have been exposed to an infected person or if you have perceived symptoms. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that you:
Stay home and quarantine
Quarantine is recommended for 10 days after the symptoms first appeared and until you have 24 hours with no fever (without medications to suppress fever). Your other symptoms should also be improving. However, follow the advice of your doctor, as local health administrators can have different guidelines in place for the community.

Take care of yourself and take over-the-counter acetaminophen if needed. Most people recover at home and experience manageable symptoms.
